Love what you do and surround yourself with great people!

First, we must have an amazing passion for what we do….because when it gets hard…and it will…then because we have a strong clear burning desire to persevere and continue to serve we can make it. And then we need great team members. People that compliment our strengths and assist where we are weak. Together much can be accomplished!

I love this short Steve Jobs interview clip……

Shift Your Focus by asking yourself GREAT Questions!

What a great way to start a Friday! Anthony Robbins talks about the rituals that you already have that you must be aware of, why you must be aware of what you are focusing on and why GRATITUDE is so very important!

Lousing questions create lousy answers and GREAT questions create GREAT answers….make yourself a different life!

Deliver Value= Make Money

I was thinking about some of the best paid people in the world and I was then also thinking about some of the people that I know that complain that they never have any money. Quite a sharp contrast but what I actually finally came up with is this idea of value. Most often people that make a lot of money really deliver some sort of great value for what they are compensated. Yes, there are easy examples like Bill Gates or Peyton Manning but what about the everyday people around us like your dentist or your CPA? These people are examples of those living among us who have developed a skill and now are able to charge higher amounts of money for performing that skill. They have mastered a subject and through their work in that area they are in high demand and now can charge higher amounts of money to their clients. Bottom line is that they earned it. They spent the time in school, apprenticing, trial by fire and/or developing themselves to provide something that people will pay for.
The statistics on lottery winners and ultimate bankruptcy are staggering. My theory is that the person who had that windfall of money was just not able to handle it. They did not do the natural growth or progression of earning, learning and growing their way to great wealth so when it hit them they could not hold on to it. Money is just an energy like everything else and you must be prepared to handle it.
This is why network marketing provides the everyday person such a great opportunity. When you grow your value you get paid better. Built in to network marketing is personal growth and the more you are able to grow and serve others the more money you can make. Many think when they begin that its about getting rich off of someone else…..and they do not make it if they do not change that mindset very fast. Service, value and providing something that someone is willing to pay for. It is a journey of growth, self awareness and reflection and ultimately of helping others. When we provide something of value we get paid accordingly.
Just listen next time you hear someone complain that they never have any money and then reflect on what that person is doing (or not doing) to be in a position to receive payment for their input to society. Deliver value and get paid for it. Help and serve others and get paid for it. Grow yourself and the value you provide to our world and you will get paid for it.
If you want to begin your journey towards more money and you are ready to go through the wonderful and often painful process of growing yourself I invite you connect with me and I will introduce you to the vehicle I have chosen. Together we can see if this vehicle may be right for you as well.
To AWARENESS and VALUE,
Joanna

Never Give Up.

If anyone had ever told me that raising kids was going to be this challenging I don’t know that I would have actually chosen to have children. Now, before you freak out about that statement let me clarify. I love my kids. Very much. I would do anything for them. And, in some dark corner of my mind I know that this is all worth it and that this is going to be one of the most rewarding things I do in my life. Right now however…it’s a lot of work. I have chosen to be a very conscious active parent and this evidently (along with their predisposed genetic propensities) is a recipe for hard work. I see others parenting unconsciously sometimes and gaze at their nutritionally bankrupt, video game dependent, tv addicted children and know exactly why I put in the effort I do. My children will be independent thinkers who know how to evaluate the choices in their life and decide what is right for them.
I view my business in much the same way. I’m not sure if I had known how much effort netWORK marketing is that I would have engaged it either. This business is truly personal growth with a compensation plan. It has challenged me to the core of my being. (Much like parenting) But boy oh boy is it worth it!!!!!! I am changing and growing and I know it and at the same time I get to help others change and grow. This I have realized is WHY I do it. Yes, it is work but to watch lives change is truly an amazing thing and for me makes life worth living. It is all an evolution.
When I saw this video it reminded me yet again why I make the choices I make in life.

I am glad on both accounts I did not know. Parenting is a challenge that is to be embraced fully and it has evolved me more than I could ever have done for myself. The same goes for network marketing.

Make it a great day and follow your bliss!

Balance….redefined.

One definition of balance is: a state of equilibrium or equipoise; equal distribution of weight, amount, etc

I say throw your current idea of what balance is out the window. Start over. Seriously. Let’s redefine it or re-frame it in our minds for a fresh perspective.

It seems to me that many people think that to be balanced they should be spending an equal amount of time at work and play. Just how realistic is THAT? That basic thinking in this current world will only lead to disappointment and frustration- a constant state of trying to keep all your ducks lined up in a row- not going to happen. The reality of what I am observing is that people are working WAY more and WAY harder. Now, there are many reasons for that, some valid, some not so valid, and all a matter of perspective. Our world is financially and materially driven and it seems to be moving fairly fast. The problem is that life with money and “stuff” but without love, play and laughter is hollow and feels unfulfilled and so we are missing what is most important and down deep we know it.

Perspective and awareness I say are the key. A balance is attainable when you decide what you value most in life and then go after what you choose. When you clearly identify what is most precious to you and you do it with a conscious awareness then you can have balance. Once you know what is most important you schedule into your life the time to DO that. Whatever it is. And, most importantly, when you schedule in that time you are present with what you are doing. This is exactly how you achieve your state of balance. The easiest example of this is if you say your family is important to you but your always answering your phone when your supposed to be playing with the kids then you are out of balance. If however, when you have scheduled time to play with your children and that work call comes in and you ignore it because this is not the time for work then you are staying true to your choices and values. The client leaves a message and when you are back on work time then you call them back. You have stayed true to your chosen balance and have taken time to “sharpen the saw” or recharge therefore when you return to work you are fully present and more effective.

So really what I am talking about is time management. You can obtain your own personal balance through examination of what is important to you personally and then setting a schedule with those important things in it. Personally, every Thursday I sit down and look at the following Mon-Sun week. I make sure the things that I value are given the appropriate time and then I build around them. I currently work WAY more than I play or spend time with my children; however I am aware of this choice and know that this will not always be the case. Because I go into my week with a wide perspective I am in charge of my week and have the flexibility to modify it as needed. What I do not do is go into my week and let the urgent run the show.

There is no better teacher on this subject than the great Stephen Covey. If what I have written struck any sort of truth within you I suggested you immediately dig into his work. It will change your life.

Cleansing…..an important addition to mental health…..

So today is day 2 of my cleanse…I feel great AND completely exhausted all at the same time.  When I cleanse, I have a very specific program that I follow that I have used for over 6 years now.  My body is completely supported using a superior nutritional technology;  not only am I removing impurities, cleansing every cell in my body and ultimately giving it a break from the arduous task of digestion but I am also infusing it with a massive amount of essential vitamins and minerals.  Normally, because I have been doing this for so very long I feel just great on cleanse days….sometimes I do get a bit tired at the end of day 2 and I’m certainly usually ready for my shake the following morning…..but this time is different and I’m thinking I know why.  I think I am getting at deeper and deeper levels of my body.  It is almost as if at times I feel like I am cleansing attitudes which have been stored in my cells for a very long time.  I can feel my body releasing and it can at times be uncomfortable but ultimately I desire and allow this process as I want the change that it brings.  It seems that for me when I go through tough stuff…like tough “life” stuff…if I am aware and conscious, then I do a fairly good job of owning it and making it wisdom.  Cleansing on a cellular level helps me to do this and I am grateful for the process.

Lately, I have been watching some Bruce Lipton video clips on you tube and I think that guy makes a lot of sense!  His past work as a cellular biologist and educator coming from the “traditional” world of medicine has enhanced for me his current work in Epigentics.  His logical and very clinical explanation of how our environment and our perception of our environment has a great impact on our lives is brilliant.  I highly recommend his work.

Your attitude and focus are so important…..

Have you ever noticed that when your having a good day and you feel good that people are more attracted to you and good things kind of tend to flow? And, have you ever noticed that when you not feeling so hot or your energy may be low and your attitude stinky that more unpleasant things to pile up in your way?

Focus is controlled by questions.  Your brain is a computer and how you talk to yourself and what you focus upon will determine your future.  I love the Law of Attraction work by Esther and Jerry Hicks that speaks clearly to our vibration.  I also resonate highly with Anthony Robbins and his work.

Your questions are determining your life.  Ask great questions and get great answers but ask lousy questions and the answers you get are….lousy of course.

For me personally life has taken some turns.  Bumpy ride with incredible highs and lows.  Crazy thing is, I’m no different than anyone else as I look around and it is clear that this seems to be the nature of life itself.   No life is just one great ride to the top.  The majority of our highs seem to be a fantastic contrast to our lows and it is our lows that allow us to truly feel and appreciate our highs.  Is that fun?  No, not always but I’m thinking that it may just be necessary.  Kind of like the seasons in nature…..spring occurs when winter has done its work and then summer rushes in to expand and live full out only to be followed by fall which then begins the process towards the death which is winter…..all lovely…all necessary for the others.  The cycle of life.

Learn to focus the mind and ask great questions of yourself.  Train yourself to find the next best thought and then feel just that much better.  Find something that you can be grateful for.  This is a muscle that when worked will serve you deeply…but, it must be developed and trained.  Be well, exercise, hang around positive energetic people and TRAIN your own mind.

To your success,

Joanna

A Test of Spirit.

So on November 15th, 2009…..in less than 3 weeks, I take my test for 1st degree black belt in Tang Soo Do (a form of Korean Martial Arts). I’m terrified and excited all at the same time. My training has been ongoing for years now and finally I have reached the point where it is time to actually begin the journey. The black belt to me simply means that I now have gained enough basic skills to actually REALLY engage this amazing process of discovery of self through training that combines the body, mind and spirit. Martial arts for me has never been about an ability to hurt another but really about the ability to avoid conflict. This conflict is most often thought of as an external threat. And, I agree that this can be the case and I am very thankful that if I were to be confronted with a dangerous situation at least I have some skills. But, the conflict that most concerns me lies within me. The ability to calm my own mind. The ability to feel the spirit of my being that moves within and through me. In all of my training the inner balance of the yin and yang is what I most crave. Calm and peace of mind under pressure combined with some actual physical skills is trluy a nice balance I think.

As I draw nearer and nearer to the day that my training to this point will be tested by those who have earned their place I can feel the energy, excitement and adrenaline all rushing through my body. Now I just have to calm the mind and I will be just fine.

Thankful for the training,

Joanna
